What is the traffic like around 7/8am from Pacifica to SF? San Rafael to SF?
Specifically, to USF, but I'm familiar enough to know that that's mostly through SF versus highways. Traffic reports don't seem to list CA-1 as being able to add to my route. Any ideas?
While I'm at it, anyone know the commute time for San Rafael to SF/USF?

USF is located on Fulton Street/Ave (whatever) - close to where the Golden Gate Bridge is. SFSU is the one on 19th Avenue as soon as you drive off 280 and into SF.

traffic is absolutly misrable! in commute hours between san rafel up 1 to 19th ave to usf,it can take you sevral hours somtimes in peak times,but less than a half hour in off times

pacifica to sf is about a 30 min commuteif you leave at 7am if you wait until 7:30 it could take up to an hr(the usf on 19th ave?)

Traffic is okay on northbound 1 and northbound 280 till you hit that 19th Ave exit. Then its like stop and go till you get to the first stop light there at Junipero Serra/19th Ave. Then more stop and go till like Sloat where it gets better. In general, I say 7am is better than 8am, and 8am is better than 9am. I think its the worst between 7:30am – 8:30am. I don’t know if this is going to be a regular commute for you but it actually depends certain times of the year. Like right now, mid-May, its close to finals at SFSU and when June – August rolls around you’ll be better than anytime of the year because school is out. Also, it is lighter than normal during winter break near Christmas too on weekdays. Its the worst I say around late January and late August when all the schools seem to just start at the same time. Hope this helps. You’ll know about this if you drive this route everyday.
