Do I have to stay in georgia to wait on a settlement or can I continue with my move?
i was injured in a car accident in January and its now June and I have plans to move half way across the country for college but im concerned that I might have to be in front of my lawyer to sign the papers for my settlement.

You should ask your lawyer but it is doubtful that you’ll need to sign any papers in their presence. The paperwork could be mailed to you and you can probably sign them before a notary.

You can move wherever you please. There are several ways to complete your settlement without being physically present. Your lawyer should be familiar with all the options (if not, watch out). I settled a claim from Little Rock while in Calif. by “power of attorney” with my lawyer. Good luck to you.
